Our on-site rainforest trails are exclusively for guest use and provide the opportunity to view ancient flora and vulnerable and endangered fauna endemic to the area.

Daintree Siesta Family

Our Journey

Welcome to our home - Daintree Siesta

and your home whilst staying in the oldest rainforest in the world!

Our family – Bruno, Tamara, Nicolas, Natasha and husky, Opi, moved here at the end of 2021 as part of the COVID tree changers movement although our slow journey to this change started a few years earlier. More about us.

We would love to share this amazing place in the UNESCO listed World Heritage Daintree Rainforest with you as you stay in either our cosy rainforest campground – suitable for caravans, tents, swags, campervans and motorhomes – or our comfortable motel-style air-conditioned cabins.

Our Philosophy

Daintree Siesta

Inclusion & Accessibility

Providing a range of accommodation options so everyone can experience a holiday in the Daintree Rainforest in line with their budget.

Environment

Appreciation of the UNESCO world Heritage listed environment in which we work. Staff complete the Wet Tropics Ambassador program and undertake local experiences with experts in their field.

Community

The north of the river Daintree community is small and complex, but one uniting factor is that those who live here love the place they live in. Find out more on what makes our community different.

Giving Back

We support a number of local initiatives. For every booking we give to Daintree Life, a local organisation which provides tree planting and revegetation services in the Daintree Coast region.
